Women’s T20 World Cup: India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in Sylhet on October 6

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team fell short for the umpteenth time in the last edition of the T20 World Cup as they lost to eventual winners Australia in the semi-finals in Cape Town and will look to go one better this time in their bid to a first ICC trophy.

India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in Sylhet on October 6 Women’s T20 World Cup. The International Cricket Council on Sunday announced the playing dates of the upcoming mega event, which will be the second consecutive iteration of the tournament after the 2022 edition was postponed due to COVID-19 and held in South Africa last year.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team fell short for the umpteenth time last edition as they lost to eventual winners Australia in the semi-finals in Cape Town and will be looking to go one better this time in their bid to win a maiden ICC trophy .

Australia won a record sixth title against hosts South Africa in Cape Town in 2023 and have been drawn alongside India, New Zealand, Pakistan and a qualifying side in Group A for the ninth edition of the event to be held in Bangladesh.
