Trump plays a big chance, decides that Fox News will organize Biden debates. No

The numbers 787 should haunt the Murdochs’ dreams, I would think. At least if those numbers have a dollar sign in front and six zeros behind it. If that’s the case, then I don’t know how they’ll show up as hosts for the Trump-Biden debates, which are happening now.

That’s the takeaway right there. Fox News is an entertainment company and not a licensed news organization. Furthermore, a candidate choosing a network and which anchors will carry the debate is not adhering to the usual journalistic standards for a campaign. I seriously doubt Trump will be able to make this one fly.

Here is a network that would like to have the debates and do so with great pleasure. This is where Tucker Carlson has sunk to.

If that isn’t a flaming joke, I don’t know what is. So how determined is Trump to have Fox? To the point of no Fox, no debate?

There are clearly two schools of thought on whether Trump will bail unless the debate is on Fox. Now Fox News can’t host because they’re not an accredited news organization, as already noted, but will they even test the waters and see if they can make it fly? That’s a question we’ll see answered. For the sake of argument, let’s assume Trump can’t get Fox. What will he do?

He will have to continue the debate. He was huffing and puffing in terms of the wrestling match he was going to.

“Crooked Joe Biden is the WORST debater I have ever seen – he can’t put two sentences together!” posted Trump, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. “Crooked is by far the WORST president in the history of the United States.”

“It’s time for a debate so he can explain to the American people his deeply destructive open borders policies, new and ridiculous EV mandates, allowing crushing inflation, high taxes and his truly WEAK foreign policy that is enabling the world calls for ‘Catch on Fire,’” Trump added. “I am ready and willing to debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September.”

You notice he didn’t say, “provided it’s on Fox News or the deal falls through.” He’s pretty locked up. I don’t think he can get out of the debates and save face. Moreover, there is this problem.

How can Fox News present itself as fair and balanced when its anchors show up to give Trump moral support during the trial? This is quite the can of worms that Joe Biden opened this morning. Here’s a link to Biden’s defiant video. I love the phrase, “I hear you’re free on Wednesday.”
