Buck’s sexual awakening airs this week

Fans of the television show 9-1-1 have been following the adventures of the crew of Fire Station 118, the Los Angeles Police Department and the emergency center for seven seasons, but this year one of the main characters shows a new part of their lives.

Evan “Buck” Buckley has grown from a wild child firefighter to a trusted member of the team, and he’s also had a few near-death experiences along his journey.

In previous seasons, Buck had a close but platonic relationship with Abby, the main responder at the 9-1-1 call center, and for a while he dated a TV reporter, but in recent years he has had a close friendship with co-worker Eddie.

When Eddie’s wife was murdered, Buck sprang into action to raise their disabled son Christoper. It has led fans to speculate that there may be some sexual tension between the two firefighters.

Fans even named their relationship by calling them “Buddy.”

The fourth episode of the current season airs this week on Channel 7 and it is the 100th episode of the series overall.

Fans will get their wish if Buck acknowledges that he is bisexual, but Eddie is not the object of his affection.

Recent episodes have reintroduced a firefighter from a previous season. Tommy Kinard, who was previously a member of the 118 and appeared in season 2, is now a rescue helicopter pilot. Buck and Tommy’s friendship moves into new territory in the upcoming episode.

Tommy is played by Lou Ferrigno Jr. He is the son of actor and bodybuilder Lou Ferringo who starred in the 1970s TV series The incredible Hulk. He has previously appeared in SWAT, Outdoor benches And Great girl.

Since the local broadcast is a few weeks behind the American version, there has already been a flurry of articles about how fans have reacted to Buck’s bisexual awakening.

Actor Oliver Stark has said that writers only asked him about the storyline shortly before they started working on the new series, and he was completely on board with it.

He has also dismissed comments from fans who have not embraced Buck’s sexuality. Stark took to his Instagram account to thank fans for their support and waved away criticism.

“Humbled and overwhelmed by the positive response to Buck’s storyline,” Stark wrote after the episode aired in the US.

“If you are one of the smaller group of people commenting on my posts about how this ruined the show. I want you to know that I really don’t care. This is a show about love and inclusivity. It features queer relationships from the very beginning, including a beautiful black lesbian wedding, played by two of the best actresses (Aisha Hind and Tracie Thoms) I have ever seen. he said.

Tune in to 9-1-1 on Chanel 7 on Mondays at 9:11 PM (yes, that’s really when it starts) to see the beginning of Buck and Tommy’s romance.
